Thank you sincerely, Cerjak, for posting these fine examples of iron work pike heads. Although a naval collector, I have an interest in these from the stand-point of boarding pikes and colonial trench spears. They all share similar aspects, even down to the favored 'wormy ash' hafts. I like to see pike heads without the side straps to show that this form was also just as popular. If you note the last one you listed, this 'leaf-form' type was very popular on boarding pikes of the French, British and Americans pre-1800. Later types for the Americans, Brits and Spanish post-1800-10 had the more classic 4-sided spike heads. I like the detail on the sockets as well. Thanks again!
