Thank you very much for your comments on the bolo. I have already done as you suggested and researched the mans name and that is how I found the information above. The seller only gave me the owners name and rank and that he was in the 1st Montana Volunteer Infantry during the Spanish American War. The rest of the information on when he arrived and was mustered out I found here.
