Yes, I agree the piece has some age, and the price is not outrageously high. Real good old tajongs are very rare these days, and can cost a lot more than the price that went for this specimen here.

It reminds me of the 'kakatua' headed hilt forms we've seen on some Sumatran Bugis keris, but this one is really different.

Oh I see! Which brings me to another point - remember to oil the sheath and hilts once in a while! :) Some kerises' hilts and sheaths crack while they were in Europe or other dryer climates...
