I suspect the B addition stands for Busch, so they split their last name. But I'm not 100% sure. Maybe someone else has details about that?

It looks like some kind of Indo persian Kulah khud type helmet. The fact that all the rings are riveted makes it clear that it is an old one.

Welcome to this forum Bob! The helmet seems quite new to me. I don't see any patina, the edges are all sharp, there even seem to be some burrs on the air holes. The armor mark also looks very fresh....

I have had several of this type (parang nabur). Perhaps a decorated or undecorated scabbard has more to do with the price a buyer was willing to pay for it.

Thanks Jim for your response! I really looked into rapiers today. Apparently the length is not exceptional and there was a period when this was the standard. Despite that, it remains a strange sword....
