Rencong Sizes?
I just read the following here on the forum that was made by Utami:
Rencong is usually ordered by its blade length. Different from Indonesia’s standard measurement, i.e. metric measurement, in...

Is this a Minang Kabau keris?
I have not so long ago acquired this keris with a very nice patina on the wood.
It is quite simple but shows good craftmanship.
The bottom part (buntot) seems to be missing and might have had a...

In the Netherlands e.g. it can only be called gold from 14k upwards.

Thanks Kai
Very interesting website which I did not know yet.
Very nice.
Indeed maybe not Bugis but Sumatran.
In both cases it is quite small which makes Sumatra a bit more likely I guess.
Thanks, Erik

Gayo or Minangkabau?
Would like to hear your ideas about the origin of this keris.
