Mandau/parang negara

This one just arrived into my collection.

very simple handle ( shortened) typically Negara style scabbard and a blade with inlayed stars wich is in very good state. I'm glad I found it.

For sale ,one of the most scarce swords from Borneo.
Coming from my personal collection.

Original scabbard, horn hilt ,state is exelent.
length is 76 in scabbard. sword only is 71 cm.

probably reshaped into Batak blade ?
It looks like a mix between sikin and kalasan.

The shield is a klebit (shield)bok ( hair) so "hair shield", it isn't an Utap, The Utap is a smaller shield what was in use long time ago by the sea dayak.

The spirits are supernatural...
