By the way this came from a neighbor who knows I collect pointy things and was only professed to come from the Lido road during WW2 where he was an engineer. And no there were no Dahs. ;)

It looks as though it was forged from a rasp. I have made a few knives this way. They use lots of them on their horses so there is a good supply. Some are casehardened so smiths look for rasps that...

Talwar an kukri suspension
Interesting to note the kukri and talwar are shown hung on the same side. This might be artistic license but it looks right. Also,are the dahls used here hide or steel? Very neat picture by the way.

I aquired one of these some years ago. I figured it was from Samar because it was carved into the scabbard. :) Chisel ground and nicely done.
