Hi all, as suggested from my original post, here is a separate thread on one of the two smaller items. Any information gratefully received.

Iliad, what is the length of this blade?

Iliad 14th April 2009 09:21 AM

Blade length 16 inches; overall length 20 and one half inches. Thank you for your interest.

Hi Iliad, nice Balinese piece!! The hilt looks to be Nawa Sari holding a sheaf of rice behind his head, the dapur I've seen before described as "Suropati", not much, but hope it helps. :D

I agree that this is an old Bali blade. It is nothing extraordinary, but it certainly isn't the "tourist" blade you original thought it to be. It would be nice to get it properly cleaned and stained as i can see that there is definitely a pamor pattern hiding there.
