Lew,
Nice indeed!!! And looks like great and original condition. Both hilt and scabbard tip made of the same coloured horn/bone -a rare match! And great tooled leather work as well.
Now, I have to ask: Have you etched the blade yet?:-)

CharlesS 24th October 2007 04:18 PM

Very attractive example. Sure would be nice to etch that blade and find wootz!!

Lew 24th October 2007 04:46 PM

Well I do not have it yet but will give it an etch when it arrives. My experience with these is that the bigger bladed ones with the thicker ribs were not wootz but you never know?

Hi all

The dagger arrived and it's real nice but it's not wootz.

Well, Lew, you can't have everything!!! ...but the quality here seems excellent, and I think it would be hard to find a more attractive tooled leather scabbard for these.

Hi Charles

I am not disappointed at all!
