Good day everybody,

I have this small sabre- machete sold by the owner as Malaysian,
he took it back from Malaysia 50 years ago
and talked about old pirate small sabre-machete.
( not for grow the price...)

A friend told me it is african ( Benin )
I had a look on internet and it looks like african.

Amnesy of the seller or can it be Malay ?

An Ashanti/Asante sword from Ghana, like the example in this thread?

Ceremonial sword known as "akrafena" or "afena"?

Hi Marius66,

I think it may be 19th century, or certainly early 20th? Hard to tell with African items.
