Backplate cuirass
6 Attachment(s)
Bought a backplate on a auction this weekend. It came with a breastplate and they were advertised as "possible theatre pieces". The breast plate sure is. It is thin and not worth posting. The backplate is, in my opinion, not a theatre piece but not sure how old it is. Could be a 19 century copy but i lack the experience to tell for sure. It weights 1.6 kg.
Also bought a nice pair of small lance heads. I will post them in another thread. |
for what I can see on these pictures its an original !
Please thake some sanding paper and scrub the inside on several flat surfaces and post these pictures here , I think you will be surprized. |

still did not use sandpaper did yah , well now you cleaned away the evidence.
If you had used sand paper only the surface would be cleaned and the black would be way better visible showing hammer strokes. |
