Max lenght of a Laz Bichagi - Black Sea Yataghan

What would be the max lenght of any known black sea yataghan?

The one in my collection has a lenght of 54 cm.

A friend of mine told me that his specimen has a blade lenght of around 80 cm, I cannot wait visiting him (hope in the next month) and take the photos (and post them here) of that monster.

Hi Vahljun,

My BSY is 74 cm's, measured in a straight line from the top middle of the hilt to the point of the blade.

note: this picture is taken by the seller, I do have the permission to post these.

A well known seller has a BSY for sale that measures approximately 34 inches:

" Good condition overall, scabbard lacking cloth binding and with top and small upper section missing, old glued crack repair, sword very good condition. 34 inches long approximately. Black Sea area, early 19th Century."
