Buzkashi?

I wonder if some experts here could tell me anything about this artwork. It appears to have been made with the use of a pen and watercolor. There are some words at the bottom. Can anybody translate them?

Yes likely a painting of Buzkashi. See link here https://www.google.co.nz/search?ei=W...eD-BDoQ4dUDCAo
The language you show is likely URDU. I can not give any further information on your piece but if you search Google Buzkashi Pics there are many there, but not your one. I have enlarged a section of your painting and several "players" appear to be holding whips. Stu |
Yes, certainly Buzkashi, and a wonderful depiction of the sport. I'm guessing the scale depicted below the picture is in inches?
It's delightful - where did you encounter it? I'm away from home at this time, but I have a buzkashi whip - I'll post a picture of it on my return. |
Buzkashi is the national sport of Afghanistan . It means "Goat Grabbing." Please see http://archive.boston.com/sports/blo...ng_is_the.html for some atmospheric pictures ..

Can someone understand the text on the bottom left?

Nice painting!
We should probably forget many Americans' first intro to the sport, the tragically anachronistic, Rambo 3. https://youtu.be/VkZq52nqb_Q |
