PI Dagger Silver Mounts
6 Attachment(s)
Greetings,
Here is a dagger that I am selling, with a hilt of horn and silver, and a scabbard made of leather and silver. One side of the blade says in Spanish, "Made in Philippines, April 30, 1901" and in the other side is a symbol of a sun (?) rising over 3 mountains, a maker's mark, all engraved. The cross guard is a little loose but firm in construction and made of silver plates with many sided balls matched by a silver many sided ball cap screwed into the tang with a silver 4 petaled flower beneath the ball. Scabbard mounts top and bottom are also made of silver, the bottom ending with another many sided silver ball. On back of the top mount is a hooked chain that would go onto a belt. Notes: 1. due to shrinkage of the leather, the blade fits into the scabbard except for a small section; 2. the end ball cap and flower are restorations to replace what was missing. Asking price: $400 USD +shipping. Will take PayPal, check, money order. Please contact me at: battara@hotmail.com if interested or if there are any questions. |

I also want to mention that the 2 silver links end in a bronze hook and that there are some dents to the bottom silver chape.
