Korean work knives?
3 Attachment(s)
Do we know anything about them? It seems like Korean swords hewed closely to Japanese or Chinese styles. But I saw this video of a Korean smith and it looks like the knives are somewhat enep shaped. I found another picture of Korean "machetes" that look a bit Thai as well.

top ones are not traditional. they are made some custom order.. as "camping knives"
the others are not work knives but knives for slicing hacking meat large fish ect ect. korea had little or no jungles ot use such a knife.. blade is quite thin and very sharp |
Very interesting, thank you. Do you know if Koreans have their own indigenous hunting/field/work knife, like the Japanese do?
I recall reading that traditionally hunting was handled by a nomadic ethnic minority in Korea, possibly descendants of Jurchens. |
