I just picked up this Daab at auction; when I received it, unwrapped it, and got it in my hands, I was very impressed by the weight, balance, and potential chopping, slashing, and fighting capabilities of this weapon .The trained practitioner must have been very formidable with this sword !

Very interesting and elegant piece. I especially like the addition of the hand grip material, which makes it very obvious how it was used.

Nice get!!

Have to agree, one of the most impressive dha I've seen in quite some time! Congrats on a great piece. I can't recall seeing many (if any) with that tip style.

Yes, the tip threw me a little as well ; at first I thought it had been over sharpened, but upon using the "Vikingsword," search engine, I found a link which shows this very sharp and pointy configuration to be a characteristic of this blade.
