Highs and Lows of Auctions Panabas and Head Axe
5 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
Won a Panabas and Head Axe at auction and have been expectantly waiting for them to wend their way home. Upon receiving had the elation of maybe getting an authentic piece and the low of maybe acquiring a tourist piece. Anyways here goes, my new joy the Panabas. Total length: approx 31 inches / 788mm Blade length: approx 17 inches / 430mm Thickness of blade spine at hilt: 13/32 inch / 10.3mm Solid construction, 5 brass(?) bands in large handle. Now the Head Axe: Total length: 19.5 inches / 500mm Thickness of axe head: 3/32 inch / 2.5mm appears to be consistent thickness. Any input would be much appreciated. thanks |
