Hi all,
This dagger came in a lot of african stuff but doesn't look african to me.
The handle is ivory. Total lenght is 27 cm. It feels heavy and solid.
Thanks.

Looks Burmese or Thai to me. (Or, possibly, Yunnan.)

Materials (brass and ivory).
Wire work at the bolster.
Cylindrical bolster/guard.
"Fretwork" at back end of bolster (has a Chinese/Yunnan "flavor").

Blade profile vaguely consisent with my proposed origin, but the fullering isn't so much.

The 'ivory' handle looks very much like deerhorn/antler (am 99% sure); maybe that helps in i.d-ing the piece.
(at least it indicates a non-african origin)
It also seems an asian/chinese-ish piece to me; the round ending of the grip near the blade indicates the scabbard would also be round. The only round scabbards I know are indeed those Thai/Burmese dha's. But its just following my logics . . . . .

It looks very Burmese/Thai to me, and apart from not having any script on the blade looks like one of their "amulet" blades, search using the word "meed...." which is the generic word for any knife from that area.
