found this keris hilt recently, but I cant figure out where it came from, java? bali? lombok?.
The age its self seem old, but the detail carving work seem quite good.

From pic it seems very old. A very nice hilt :) . Maybe Lombok

I have one hilt with something in common with your, but mine is, without doubts, 'much more' common. Compliments

Thanks Marco, I think it must be from out side java since human figure often found in balinese or lombok keris hilts.

Nice carving in spite of some disproportioned parts... :D Such "pornographic" hilts are shown in the EK on page 498 but the origin is not specified unless I overlooked it.

Hello Ferrylaki,

this hilt is recent manufacture from Madura so please send it to me that I can depollute it (in my collection!). :D :D ;)

Seriously I think it is a very nice and intersting hilt from Lombok. :) How high is it?

Regards,

Detlef
