Unknown sickle shaped weapon

Hi

I was sent these images via my website as the owner thought they are billhooks, and she wants to identify them. They were her grandfather's, so I guess pre WW2 and probably pre WW1...

From the style of the decoration, my first guess is Asia Minor, i.e. Turkish, Kurdish, Persian - or maybe even Indian - but I really have no idea where they are from....

Help please....

Moroccan touristy daggers of the Flyssa family.
They are 'sharpened' conventionally on the outside of the curve not the inside like a billhook or sickle.
Earlier than WW2 is unlikely. Immediately post war would be my guess.

SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS WEDDING NIMCHA , FOUND IN MOROCCO. SEARCH THE FORUMS AND ARCHIVES AND YOU WILL FIND MORE INFORMATION ON THEM. GOOD LUCK

I have seen knives like this attributed to Algeria. I travelled Maroc and I never see one like that. However, as previously said, it was a tourist piece probably after WW2

Many thanks to all - Morocco or Algeria - I have sent the link to the reply on to the owner... trust she is now a happy lady....

Update - she is very pleased to know what they are, but has no use for them and now wants to dispose of them. If anyone is interested in acquiring them, please make a sensible offer by PM with contact details and I will forward to her...

I am uncertain of their location, but will ask....
