Philippine Sword?
Hi Guys
What type of sword is this? Is it from Luzon? http://cgi.ebay.com/Antique-Marked-M...QQcmdZViewItem Lew |
Yep -- Luzon would be my guess. That narrow brass hexagonal ferrule , with the swelling of the hilt immediately above it, suggests Batangas. Mid-20th C. or thereabouts I would think. The stamp on the blade means it probably started life as a leaf spring.
