Ancient butcher's knife
1 Attachment(s)
This comes from my recent trip to Turkey. We went to the ruins of the ancient city of Perge (close to Antalya) and there was this "street sign": an advertisement for a butcher's shop, with depictions of a knife and a meat hook. This is about 2-3 century BCE.

Wow, nice picture. I have heard of folks using such pictures back then in all areas of the Mediterranean (and elsewhere) as shop signs.
(This includes sticking your buns out the window of the ancient bakeries  :p ). |
I thought about saying something like "well, this is typical IV-25 according to Gorelik", but after actually looking through Gorelik I realized that 60% of his daggers are something like this guy. Guess, there is not a lot of diversity among the ways you can stab/cut something or someone.
