Source for rattan?

Another question if I may?

Recently I purchased up an old Talibon knife;
The scabbard is bound with a few bands of rattan, but two or three bands are missing.
Does anyone know of a source for rattan to replace the missing bands?

Thank you in advance!

Richard.

Try a craft shop or someone that deals with chair making or repairs.

Wow, very nice tutorial on the rattan braiding...definitely gives you an appreciation for the work involved when they have the entire handle like in a dha/daab. Very handy to know as it is not uncommon for rattan bands to be missing...especially on the scabbard of various SEA weapons. Great thread. Thanks guys!
