These daggers vere recently acquired in Cameroon. I think it could be Vere (?), but there are another similar tribes in the area. There are clear signs of long-term use on the hilts and sheaths, especially pommel of the smaller dagger is smoothed out. Blades are strong, of lenticular (bigger) and rhombic (smaller) crossection, but the blade of the bigger dagger (total length cc 60 cm) is a little bit more rough. The question is also - why the blade is so short ?
The sheaths and parts of the hilts are brass cast, the "walls" are surprisingly thin.
I cleaned them - I hope it was not a mistake (I think brass could be cleaned in this cases).

Very nice. The large one is particulary nice. You might find this interesting from back in the good old days.
