origin of this blade

Hello.
i have a blade here that was for years in a box , the peksi is dameged . Normaly i trhow a blade with damaged peksi away because i think there is something missing than . But this one i always kept, i did give it a wash and now i want to now more about this one. It,s a 7 luk , verry strong blade , i have the idea it,s east javanese. But nothing sure , thats why i put it here . If some one can help me ? Dapur , maybe age ? .i know.....almost impossible quistion :) |

Other than to say it's origins seem Javanese to me i wouldn't really hazard a guess. I will give you a couple of hints that might help others make their judgements. Use a neutral, unpatterned cloth for your background. Try to shoot directly above to blade so that we can see as true a perspective of the blade as possible. Also a shot of the bottom of the gonjo shot down the pesi might provide a helpful indicator. :)

The blade seems to be heavily shortened. It was probably a good looking blade, with graceful luk.

just the proportion between the size of sorsoran and the length of the blade is disturbed, the last luk is pointing outwards, the workmanship of the last luk is very strange compare to the rest in my eyes. |
