It seems more like a Berber gun from Algeria.


Beware! A lot of thoose are modern made. Virtually impossible to tell if it is a modern work or just a slumpish peasant gun from 1850.... Check if there is a hole drilled in the barrel in the point where the lock is positioned. It is a good sign. I saw a lot of repros and the first imression of yours seems to be original.

Here is mine, Altit form of Moroccan Mukhala, 157cm overall. Silver and ebony, around 1930.

Yes there are copies in the market but also it was a gun with long life. Some tribes in Sahara used them till recently side by side with AK47s.
