Annotated Bibliography

Well, it has finally been published:- Tim Rogers' annotated bibliography of South East Asian edged weapons.

Here is a link:-

I've known Tim for about 30 years, he is a very academically focused gentleman who was employed for many years in the Bodleian Library in Oxford, England. His interest in SE Asian weaponry is part of a broader interest in SE Asian culture and society, so this bibliography can be expected to contain references that would normally not be noticed by most collectors.

I have yet to review this publication, but I do believe that it will prove to be an invaluable reference for all of us who collect in this field. I expect that it will expand upon the very notable bibliography of David van Duuren, which is an unequaled reference in its own right, but David's reference only deals with the keris, Tim's reference deals with all edged weaponry of the area.

Thank you so much Alan. Since this is about a book for sale, I will move this to the Swap Forum.

Yes, I take your point, and I've just noticed that there is already an advertisement for the book in the Swap Forum, however, since I posted a comment, rather than an advertisement, I would have thought that this was OK.

Does this mean that when I review the book, the review should also be posted to the swap Forum?

Clearly any review is a comment on an item for sale, so all reviews on books that are currently for sale should not be permitted in the Discussion Forum.

I think a comment on the book in a separate thread would be ok as long as there is no link to the seller.

OK, understood.

How about if you just edit out the link in my original post, rather than fill up the Forum with duplicates?
