Hi. A friend recently got this this in a lot. I thought Turkish or central Asian. The zigzagging bezel reminded me of the way a bolster on Afghan or northern Indian knives sometimes meets the blade. An image search said that the ring was from the Tuareg culture. What do you all think?

100% Tuareg.
