A Madura keris which found its way into my collection, the blade has received a new stain.

A nice ensemble. I like the somewhat understated carving work on the wrongko. Also the use if the dark wood alternating through the dress give a nice look. The blade seems a fairly nice example with good pamor control. Seems older than the dress which i image might be 20th century. Very shallow luk. Do you count 7 or 9?

Thank you again David! What you describe as dark wood is indeed black horn. And I agree with you that the blade is much older than the dress which I think is from the 20th century, just like you say. I count 9 luk. Any guess how the pamor could be named?

Detlef
