Possible Yoruba and possible Mossi takouba for sale

Rather than cluttering up my existing takouba sales thread these two I thought could use a new one.

Other interests are leading me to let these go. Both are not typical pieces.

I am willing to listen to offers within reason. Shipping is via Czech Post. It's reliable and I've shipped before all over Europe and to the US. Usually costs about 15 Euros.

My email is iain.norman@gmail.com or reach me via PM here on the forum. Paypal is fine - I eat the fees.

1. Possibly Yoruba Takouba

Essentially this is a very unique sword. I've never seen anything similar. When it was discussed on the forum we were all in general agreement it's probably further into West Africa than the Sahel. The Yoruba with their casting prowess seemed a likely candidate. There was some discussion if it was gold plated, I never had the chance to test it with a local lab so I wouldn't advertise it as that, in case anyone remembers the old discussion thread.

I'd like to get 300 Euros for this. That's what I paid and I don't think you're likely to find another one like this.

2 Possibly Mossi takouba
More details here: http://takouba.org/takouba11
Interesting pommel design with a big spike. I've only seen a couple like this. This particular sword comes from Burkino Faso. The guard is also a little odd, being left bare. The region and different style may indicate a non Tuareg, Hausa or Manding attribution. I've seen old photos of the Mossi using a variety of styles of sword so I'm fairly confident this could well be a Mossi piece. This one has a scabbard - tip damage as you'll see but nice color. :D

I'd like to get 180 Euros for this one. It's not typical and a rather attractive sword. As I mentioned I'm open to offers within reason.
