I picked this one up. I like the ukiran and the keris fits perfect in the scabbard.
I'm sure the dress is newer, but i couldn't resist it.
Is the hilt a kingfisher? Or is it called something different?
Your comments please.

If by kingfisher, you are refering to the Tajong hilt, then it is not. Neither is it the pekaka hilt. This is a Lampong hilt variant. However I am not certain about the other parts of the dress or the blade tho.

Hello Henk,

the hilt is indeed a Lampung hilt but I am afraid that it is also not very old and maybe worked together with the sheath. The blade have a javanese touch.

Similar hilts are shown in this thread:

Detlef,

I'm aware the dress is not old and the blade is probably javanese, but the dress is made for it and struck me. So the ukiran is Lampung and also in my opinion worked out with the scabbard.
I saw the keris, and i knew what you told me, but i fell in..... you know what i mean ;)

This is one of those questions that drive me mad... what is the sheath type that traditionally goes with this sort of Lampung hilt? We see lots of this type of hilt, but hardly on a full keris...

IMO the blade and all the rest could come from Cirebon area

Hello Kai Wee,

I also don't have seen an original dressed Lampung keris! So when one of our members have such a keris it would be great when he will share it with us.
:)
