very nice. I guess the shield itself is 8-10 inches in diameter.

Can't tell very well from the pictures but is there silver kofgari present?

what, no central spike?

"If no central spike,
You can't do no strike!"
That's a great tool for the melče, or for wading into the press of battle to get a friend out who's surrounded! Or of course in a particularly nasty bar fight!
Used it often myself, in a past life... Thank Circumstances that that one's over! Nothing worse than stepping in an elephant poop just as you get to safety...

YOU HAVE TO STEP HIGH TO STEP IN A ELEPHANT POOP OTHERWISE YOU MAY TRIP OVER IT :D

THESE HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED IN OLD POSTS AND I THINK MOST COME OUT OF OR NEAR INDIA. I THINK THE HORNS USED ARE FROM THE BLACKBUCK A SMALL ANTELOPE.

The Maharattas

A very warlike group in India used this weapon, especially for wading into the thick of battle to rescue a comrade (See my earlier tongue-in-cheek post)
