I have been looking for a similar one for awhile, any ideas as to its origin etc, I am assuming it is Circassian / Caucasian, thanks.

Silver niello rivets on the front of the hilt, the scabbard is covered with intricate silver repousse and niello floral and geometric patterns. The back is signed in Arabic, 18 inches long with a 12.5 inch blade, 1.25 inches wide, there is a star on the front and back of the blade.

Not Circassian; rather, it's a conflation of styles typical of work done in Tiflis in the late 19th-early 20th century. Can you post a clearer pic of the inscription?

Thanks Oliver, this may explain why I have never seen another with the exact same elements as this one, so if not Circassian who would made / used this type.
