Japanese bullet carrier

3 Attachment(s)
I bought this item some time ago,it was sold as a Japanese musket ball carrier but for a few years I worked in S.E Asia and it reminds me of a sticky rice ball carrier.the writing on the underside is Japanese though, each of the circular holders are 3 inch or so wide and 12 inch deep so if it did carry musket balls it would have been the larger castle type hand cannon.
Can anyone translate the Japanese characters on the underside and help in identifying what it is
regards
Andrew

I would say that this is a classic for NMB. https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/foru...on-assistance/
