African Spear?

Hi all, it has been far, far too long since I've posted anything to the forum. I thought I'd post an interesting spear I purchased a few months ago with a lot of British colonial Africa militaria. I have no idea which tribe it belongs to, only that it probably dates to 1920 (if it's relationship to the rest of the British stuff is true). The total length is 870 cm or 6 ft, 1/2 in.

I welcome the forums thoughts.

Very nice :) ,
1930's ....I would not be surprised if it is late (the head at least) 19th C . Love the patination on the shaft. Likely Masai / Samburu in or around Kenya (which nicely ties in with the other British stuff ). Are there any lines/crosses on the but spike ?

Congrats.

Regards David

It looks exactly like the ones the tribesmen used to hunt Cornell Wilde in "The Naked Prey".

I found this under the heading "Maasai Lion Spear", too. Hope these pictures help:
