This Khyber knife measures just over 15 inches (38.5 cm) in overall length with a blade measuring 10¼ inches (26 cm). The straight backed blade has the typical 'T' cross section with an engraved spine widened to 0.31 inches (0.8 cm) from an adjacent thickness of 0.1 inch (0.25 cm). The thickness of this ground between spine and edge bevel increases as the blade narrows. The edge bevel is raised from this ground and follows an initial concavity into a straight tapering edge for most of the blade's length. The knife features a typical bolster for the type in brass with a engraved band adjacent to brown horn scales composed of two pieces on each side with the midline all around the hilt covered by a decorated brass strip. The horn scales are decorated in a geometric pattern of small dots that are often metal inlays (wire on end). The knife retains an old cloth covered wooden sheath with remains of an old inscribed paper label; sheathed (with the bolster and most of the grip covered when inserted) the overall length is 15¾ inches (40 cm). The seam in the loose cloth covering has become undone near the tip and the wood is fragmented in places. Overall weight is 13.4 ounces (383 grams) with the unsheathed knife weighing about 9.6 ounces (274 grams).
