This bolo knife has a fairly robust single edged blade with a clip point measuring just under 15 inches (38 cm) in length and a 0.23 inch (0.61 cm) thickness near the hilt. The blade surfaces are slightly tarnished bright steel from grinding except for a few low points from forging and the spine forward from the group of marks on one face of the blade. There are a few small rust spots. A caribou (water buffalo) horn hilt is reinforced at the join with an iron ferrule and secured by a peened tang with an iron tang washer. A brown leather scabbard shows some embossed decoration and includes a leather that appears to have lost some length. Overall length is 22½ inches (56.6 cm) with a weight of just over 23 ounces (657 grams).
