This small double edged dagger is distinguished by a complex pattern of well defined fullers defined by a pair of ridges that converge towards the tip. There are patches of old brown rusting on either blade face with mild pitting. A plain well smoothed wooden hilt has an inconspicuous cut near the insertion of the blade. A decorated complex brass tang washer is secured in place by a small aluminum tang button. The somewhat shrunken dark brown leather covered wooden sheath shows the age of the piece but remains serviceable despite cracking and small losses. An arm band has been formed of fabric that is covered by braided leather ending in abundant fringe. Overall sheathed length is 10¾ inches (27.5 cm) with a weight of 7 ounces (199 grams).
Lew acquired this dagger in 2006 and presented it on the forum.
