Showing some evidence of age this 44½ inch (113 cm) club of a type typical of the Turkana tribe in modern day Kenya weighs just over a pound (459 grams). The wood is well finished with scuffing at either end and with moderate but stable appearing lengthwise cracks throughout but most pronounced towards the ends and a spot of insect damage along the shaft.
