This double-edged dagger has a short (6½ inch, 16.5 cm) blade with the typical African symmetry of a low mid rib with a flat facet opposite a concave one both across the mid rib and through the thickness of the blade. The hilt is of carved light colored wood, oval in cross section with a 'stepped' contour. Overall length (without the sheath) is 11 inches (28 cm). A simple leather sheath adds ¾ inch to the length and the weight is 4 2/3 ounces (132 grams).
