This dagger has a symmetrical 8¼ inch long iron blade with a central raised panel rising in the midline to where the cross section is thickest. A wooden grip has an oval cross section with the diameter increasing at either end. An iron cylindrical pommel of finial reflects the geometry of the wooden portion of the hilt. An old wooden sheath shows some small cracks and gouges. Overall length is 15½ inches with a weight of 10.6 ounces. Lew dated this to circa 1900-1920.
