This short sword has a very well formed double-edged 14 inch long leaf shaped blade with a midrib on either side and adjacent to the midrib on each side a very shallow fuller. The well-patinated dark wood handle is wrapped several times at its narrow center by a brass strip. Lew dated this to circa 1880 to 1890.
