86 - African Wooden Masai Club Formed From a Root Ball

Formed from a single piece of wood with the offset head showing characteristics of a root ball, this Masai club measures just under 20 inches in length with the head being about 2¾ inches in diameter. The head shows scuff marks, a few indentations and a few short narrow cracks. The end of the handle has been pierced. The club weights 8.7 oz. Lew dated this club to circa 1920 to 1930.
