The 11¾ inch (30 cm) single edge blade features a long clip point and an edge and blade bevel that begins just beyond a short, widened ricasso. A dirty, dark patina overlies transverse and diagonal scratches and patches of shallow pitting. The hilt is made of carved caribou (water buffalo) horn with a simply decorated brass ferrule and a domed brass tang washer. The knife is 17.4 inches (44.1 cm) long and weighs 13¼ ounces (378 grams). The slightly dried dark leather sheath is embossed upon its display face and features three decorative eyelets that are now variably rusted. There is some fraying of leather at the tip. Overall sheathed length is 18½ inches (47 cm) with a weight of 15¼ ounces (436 grams). Lew dated this as WWII era, circa 1945.
