Zaghnal got an elephant
I posted a thread a while back on a zaghnal that was missing an elephant.
http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...hlight=zaghnal Thanks to my friend Bernie Reller we went through a clay to wax to bronze process. It could use some patina. I include a couple of pictures of the piece on the OrientalArms site we used as a model. |

Extremely nice job!!!
Well handled Marcus, thank you for sharing this. The zaghnal is a fascinating weapon, and would like to discuss them more here. It seems they are getting hard to find. I wonder if this particular one might be associated with Bhuj, in Gujerat, as the well known 'elephant knife', another hafted weapon, is from there and is distinguished by the elephant figure at the base of the blade. |
