Default The Vikings (1958)

Hello

Does anyone know the 'name' of the sword that is in the 1958 movie, featuring Tony Curtis and Kurt Douglas, The Vikings?

This is puzzling me greatly!

Many thanks
Rystu

Can you be more specific? I have seen that movie many times and I don't remember them mentioning a swords name. They looked like generic viking swords to me.

I believe the sword carried by Tony Curtis is based on a Vendel era sword found in Norway. I do not think this sword has a specific name, but it is usually referred to as "the Vendel sword".
