Default Patrem keris

Hello members,

I have already long this keris blade with this dilly pamor. The sarung is not original but better then no sarung. Blade without peksi 24,5 cm.
Any comments?

Hello Erik,

most probably Madura. I've bought it in Surabaya some years ago. I have no idea how old this blade is. But I think when it will be a recent blade they will give also a real keris sarung.

This blade is not "my cup of tea" although of course I have never seen a curious blade like this before.

But the handle and sheath are very lovely, imho.

Cool

I understand Willem, to each there own. For me i'd say it's right up my alley. I think this is a highly talismanic piece and for some reason i don't think it is a patrem in the sense of a keris for a woman. I think this was possibly used as a dukun's keris, but that is nothing i could prove, merely a hunch and pure conjecture.
I also like the dress. I've never seen anything quite like it and wonder if it's not perhaps a form meant for tombak, but it seems to suit this keris well.

Hi David,

this is a good suggestion. To the idea that it is a talismanic pice I don't come until now.

Long sleek sturdy blade with rare pamors. Not easy to form such blade with multiple pamor. A very distingushed and old empuan.
