Default Is this a Naga hat / helmet?

I’ve seen one similar at an auction site, they described it as being Naga of origin. They have been known to be incorrect.

H - 7in. L- 10in. W - 9.5in.

Where country, land or culture did this item originate from?

Hello Albert,

I don't think so, I have the book "The Nagas, Hill Peoples of Northeast India" by Julian Jacobs, he shows several examples in this book, see pictures, I don't find a matching example.

Regards,
Detlef

Thanks Detlef for sharing your thoughts and photos.
I googled the photo I took of the helmet and the results placed it as Indian and Burmese.
