Default Mother-of-Pearl Kard

Hello all, I wonder if any of you have come across a similar stud arrangement to that found on this dagger's handle. From what I can see, the two extra studs near the pommel are not necessary at all and do not seem to be the result of a repair. Nor are they decorative additions. Hence my puzzlement.

And the rest of it, for context:

Apologies Robert - I shall be able to change it later on.

Thank you Kubur. The two extra pins seem incongruous though. I'm sure it's just a quirk.

Three days have been quite adequate enough time for you to have reposted your photos in the correct manner.
