Nice, very nice. Great way to display all those kamps. If you ever want to throw away that kamp with the tiger bells, let me know.

I'll go back behind your dumpsters now.

ONLY 19? IS THAT ALL YOUVE GOT IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE THE BITE OF THE KAMP BUG AS BAD AS I DO A NICE DISPLAY AND NICE SPEARS AND A SWIVEL GUN ( LANTKA ) TO THE SIDE. I MAKE THE SPEARS OUT AS 1 MORO AND ONE AUSTRALIAN PERHAPS TIWI ISLANDS OR ARNHIEM LAND. VERY NICE

Awesome!...and what a clever and practical display method! I love it.

I am still looking for the example with the elusive rounded lower guard.

Again...kudos!

Thanks guys.

Robert and Battara...you're at the wrong place, no dumpster out back, but if you are ever in the area, you are welcome thru the front door. Food and drinks will be served.

Vinny & Carlos, Kampilans are one of my favorite weapons, I can't stop looking at them.

Vandoo, it seems like it's more than a Kampilan bug has bitten you, judging by what you have posted. I stood the Lantaka up against the wall temporarily to get it off the floor while I was setting things up. Good set of eyes spotting the Tiwi spear.

Charles, I've been contemplating this display method for over a year. Running it thru my mind on how to do it each time I looked up at the blank wall. I had to get the Kampilans off the corner area on the floor. Finally, one thing crossed off my mental list.

WOW, beautiful! When I have 18 more I want to have a display like yours.

Can you please show how it works with the line in up to keep the kamps in place?

Regards,

Detlef

Great display and I'll second the request to know more about the display method. Always on the lookout for better ways to get my "piles" off the floor as well!

Thanks Nonoy, I was inspired by your spear display along your wall, at least my memory makes me believe it was a photo you posted.

Sajen, Iain, my method... briefly
An appropriate length of plastic coated wire cable/rope. In my case, since where I wanted to placed the stretched cable along the wall there were no studs, so I obtained dry wall anchors. I thought a turnbuckle might help keep the cable taut so one was utilized. A few screw hooks and a j-hook. I found some copper crimp connectors along with some small gauge copper wire. A moulding for the Kamps to rest on.
I crimped the copper sleeves along the cable to prevent the blade from sliding . A length of copper wire was crimped along with the copper sleeve on the right side of the blade. The copper wire is then looped behind the blade and tied on the cable to the left of the blade. This is to ensure the sword the Kamp doesn't fly off from behind the cable (hopefully).

On the moulding ,I made a tiny hole for the tip of the blade to rest on.
I hope it makes sense.

A very nice presentation.

Do you have any scabbards hidden in the cupboards? I ask as it would be interesting to see any variations found.

There are certainly a few there I'd like too.
